In light of anti-Israel desinformation war unleashed after October 7th,
RSJC began to focus even more on the youth engagement & education
In 2024, RSJC has given out 238 scholarships to attend Jewish day camps,
42 scholarships to attend Jewish overnight camps,
73 scholarships to attend Jewish teen retreats and trips
A record number (37 teens) have attended college-credit extensive educational
course “Everything a Jewish teenager needs to know about Israel”

3/03/24 - 5000 people. “March Against Antisemitism” from Embarcadero Plaza to SF City Hall. RSJC is one of the co-sponsors of the March
03/06/24 - 810 people. Letter writing campaign to University of California Regents, California Legislature and CA Governor to protect Jewish students on California College Campuses.
05/05/24 - 95 people. Public Talk with Tessa Veksler. A proud Ukrainian Jew from the SF Bay Area, Tessa Veksler was elected as the president of the 24,000 student association at UC S. Barbara.
In the spring of 2024, Tessa has made national news after she became a subject of personal attacks, antisemitic fliers and posts on social media.
07/11/24 - 470 people. Letter writing campaign to pass California Senate Bill 1287. This crucial legislation aims to ensure Jewish students on college campuses are safe from violence,
intimidation, and harassment.
08/13/2024 - 637 people. Email & letter writing campaign to San Francisco’s School District administration to advocate for safety of Jewish & Israeli students in San Francisco’s public schools
11/12/24 - 140 people. Co-sponsored “Game Over For Hate” - a rally outside of the Dutch consulate
to demand action to hold the perpetrators of mass attack on Israelis in Amsterdam accountable
11/17/24 - 4,000 people. Co-sponsored Z3 Conference - a major community-wide pro-Israel event
Overall, close to 10,000 members of the community were engaged by the RSJC in pro-Israel
activity and public advocacy to defend Jewish community against anti-Semitism

ACTIVITIES & PROGRAMS IN THE MENORAH COMMUNITY CENTER

Close to 3,000 people visit Menorah Center on the yearly basis. 1588 young adults have visited Menorah Center since October 7 which makes Menorah Center the second largest Jewish young
adults venue in the Bay Area (behind the Temple Emmanuel in San Francisco)

01/17/24 - 205 young adults. Public Talk with Adiel Cohen - a young Israeli thought leader, social media personality and an international Jewish advocate who shared his experience of being a soldier in Gaza

03/22/24 - 220 people. “From Israel with Laugh” - A stand-up comedy show presented by Ilya Akselrod, Israeli radio and TV host and an IDF reservist.

04/03/24 - 240 people, mostly young adults. Public Talk by Rudy Rochman - one of the biggest Jewish social media "influencers" in the world.

06/09/24 - 190 young adults. SF Summer Social for Jewish young adults

09/02/2024 - 296 people. Community Vigil in memory of 6 hostages murdered by Hamas.
Maya Avishai, newly appointed Deputy Consul of Israel delivered the keynote address.

10/06/ 2024 - 194 young adults. An October 7 commemorative event and workshop with psychologist and spiritual leaders of the young adult community designed to help them cope with the aftermath of October 7 and process all that transpired in their life since then.
11/18/24 - 86 young adults. Public Talk by Noach Shufutinsky - an African-American Jewish Zinonist leader and advocate. A grandson of the famous Russian Jewish singer - Mikhail Shufutinsky
11/24/24 - 207 young adults. Thanksgiving Social for Jewish young adults
